Getting There & Getting Around

The José Martí International Airport makes Havana accessible to both domestic and international flights.

Bus: The Havana tour bus (hop-on-hop-off) runs from Parque Central at Hotel Inglaterra through the district of Alamar to the Mar Azul Beach for only 5 CUC for a day pass. The Metrobus is the intercity bus system that operates 17 routes that are identifiable by the letter “P”. The Omnibus Metropolitanos accommodates travel between neighbouring towns and the city center.

Taxi: Taking a cab is more effective than renting a car as many streets are narrow and confusing and taxi rates are relatively inexpensive with 1 CUC for the first kilometer and between 0.50 CUC and 0.85 CUC for each additional kilometer.
