Getting There & Getting Around

The recently renovated Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) services international flights with planes arriving daily from Canada, the U.S, Europe and South America.

Taxi: In Puerto Vallarta taxis are all around and obtaining one is as simple as waving. Taxis are relatively inexpensive as long as you negotiate a price before you leave.

Buses: Buses are privately owned and are cost effective with fares costing about 6.5 pesos ($0.50). Ask your concierge for routes and scheduling.

Rental Cars: Rental cars are available at the airport, hotels or downtown. You must be 25 years of age with a valid drivers license (Drivers who are 21-25 can still rent but must pay a young drivers fee). Navigation can be a challenge as road signs are only in Spanish.
