The Cliffs of Moher are a designated UNESCO Geo Park, and certainly are a creative natural addition to Ireland. As you make your way up The Cliffs you’ll be immersed in picturesque panoramic views that span the horizon. Located on the west coast of Ireland in the county Clare, The Cliffs ascend over 700 feet for nearly 8km (5 miles) and dramatically drop down to The Atlantic Ocean.

Formed over 320 million years ago during the Carboniferous period, The Cliffs are now home to one of the most popular scenic spots in Ireland. Many tours venture off to The Cliffs from Dublin and beyond, or you can rent your own car to take the scenic drive. You may wonder where the facilities are, as they are sunken into the contours of the land, but you’re surely spot the entrance as hoards and hoards of tourists make their way in and out of the Atlantic Edge Centre.

Walking along The Cliffs is something of sheer brilliance. One of the unique things about being so high up on such rugged terrain is the randomness of the weather up here. From windy, to rainy, to sunny, you’ll have no idea what weather you’ll stumble upon. Go on a guided tour of The Cliffs, or explore the creative colony of rocks on your own. Capture the endless amounts of picturesque views, colonies of Atlantic Puffin’s and other unique birds and grasses that span the horizon. Explore these creative cliffs, their majestic formations will certainly take your breath away.
