Texas is home of the go big or go home adage. The state is bursting at the seams with Grade A beef, cowboys, all things related to space and bragging rights. It’s where you go if you’re looking to step into a world where it’s all about size. And they sure like everything extra large here, which of course you can see by the plethora of extraordinary sights found in Texas.

As you embark on your vacation to Texas you’ll be able to explore the ins and outs of each spot, no matter how eclectic you are. From spending the day hiking The Barton Creek Trail, to going on a zip line adventure across Lake Travis, to going on a boat ride through Lake Austin to swimming in one of the many swimming holes of Austin, what I think is interesting about Austin Texas is its mix of adventure and weird all wrapped into one. Of course, that short list was the adventure, now lets get into the weird, country style.

First off, venture off to The Salt Lick BBQ. At this joint they’re serving up the best Texas BBQ, BYOB style. With a rustically, rugged setting, you can just imagine how rowdy this place can get as kegs are a-okay in their books to bring as your BYOB.

Can’t get enough candy on your system? Than venture off to The Big Top Candy Shop where they certainly go big. With rows and rows of any candy imaginable, you’re sweet tooth will be re-awakened at this gigantic candy shop. Go on a historical guided walking tour, take to a horseback riding tour or rent a water-bike and explore the Lady Bird Lake area.

Whatever you do while in Austin, Texas, make sure you got your cowboy hats on as you’ll embark on a journey like never before.
