Picture this; you’re standing there, in the centre of Venice, Italy, yet you can’t quite feel as though you’re in the centre of the city because of one thing, it surrounded by water every which way you look. There are canals that flow through the city which of course make it a little difficult for locals to run across the canal to their neighbor’s house.

But if you’re like the many people who have made it down to Venice, you’ll figure it out pretty quickly that the locals are accustomed to it, and the tourists adore this town. The tourists love it here because of its architecture, its lovely little bridges, and of course its gondola rides. If you’re eager to explore Venice for what it’s really worth, than you’re going to want to hop on a gondola ride through the city.

As you get nice and comfy, cozy on your gondola, be prepared for a journey through a city like no other. Many of the gondoliers will sing a beautiful tune, will be dressed to the nines with a striped shirt and fancy hat, and they’ll stand as tall as can be to row through the narrow canals.

There are many spots to explore through the canals of Venice, and thus plot out which spots you’ll row on over to prior to starting your gondola ride to ensure the most picturesque ride. Whether you choose the brightly decorated gondola or the sophisticated black one, either or will take you on a journey of love and discovery and pursue the unique canals of Venice.
