If you’re looking for an artistic festival to venture off to end of one brilliant summer, than book a ticket to Seattle for September 1st to 3rd to take in Seattle’s finest music and arts festival. Bumbershoot 2012, is going to be bigger and better than its 42 years prior, with music, film, spoken word, dance, theatre, comedy, performances, and visual arts at the Seattle Center. Needless to say, this festival is the largest urban arts festival ever in North America, crazy huh! With over 74-acres of festival grounds thousands of people hop on a bus, catch a flight or take to a car ride to experience sheer brilliance through commemorating the arts for a weekend.

As I sit here and try to plan my trip to Seattle for this festival, I can only wonder what Bumbershoot means. it’s from slang of course, and means ‘an umbrella’. Deemed as the festival’s name as a metaphor for the festival being an umbrella of talents, the name is one of those names that you’ll never forget.

And so, its time to purchase your Bumbershoot tickets, so you can stroll through the Indie Market, listen to some creative talents singing, dancing or performing, eat a few delicious things from the plethora of food vendors, or walk through the ample displays of art. It’s all in the art at this festival, and so if you have a little bit of a love for the arts, than Bumbershoot will be your new favourite Indie’s art festival.
