If you have never celebrated the 3-day magical event of Lollapalooza, this is the year you’ll have to partake in the 115 acres of non-stop action. What is Lollapalooza you may ask, well, it all started back in 1991, when Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction started to play a farewell show for the group. He certainly was a big dreamer, in that the idea of his now has been morphed into a ‘larger-than-life-musical road-show’. The festival now has planted its roots in Chicago’s Grant Park, and brings music, culture, history and a sense of community to all of its thousands of fans.

With an ever-diverse array of over 130 artists, the Toyota Prius Playground, the Uncorked Lounge, an autographing tent, XRT Lounge, and so much more it’s as though each and everyone of the festival sponsors go bigger and get better every year. The festival has been going on for the past 20 years, so if you’re looking to celebrate in its brilliance of alternative rock, hip-hop, electronica, and the best of indie-rock music, Lolla is calling your name. From everything to Pearl Jam to Kanye West, Lollapalooza is one big event that enables artists to play for the love of the fans.

Venture off to the farmers market, check out Magnificent Mile, get lost in the artistic ways of Chicago’s finest, and of course, rock out to some of the best music of the world. Lollapalooza is all about jamming out and experiencing the musical geniuses of artists around the world, and the second you walk up to Grant Park this August, you’ll be mesmerized every step of the way.
