The lakes of Italy are beautiful in more ways than one. With panoramic views of mystical mountains and deep blue waters, Lake Como is one of the loveliest lakes in Italy. Located in Lombardy, Italy, Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy, and as its 400 meters deep, it’s considered one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

As a tourist destination, people from near and far come here to experience the sheer brilliance of the spot. With immensely beautiful lakeside villas, to The Grigna Mountains and Bellagio just across the way, the love that Italians have for this spot is everlasting. With generally mild weather, the lake is known for its Mediterranean-picture perfect climate and boasts lovely weather all year long. Take to windsurfing, sailing, kite surfing, golfing, partaking in a tennis match or two, skiing, snowboarding, garden exploring or lounging as you embark on your weekend stay in Lake Como.

The beauty of the lake isn’t in the fact that it is considered one of the best, but the fact that its “Y” shaped character spans from Colico to Lecco. The spot is bursting at the seams with perfection, as there are a plethora of beautifully crafted villas that are set for you to explore. Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo and Villa Del Balbianello situated in Lenno are covered in perfection and mystique any way you look at them. From their vastness to their picture-perfect gardens, the villas of Lake Como are a thing for the eyes. If you have a love for a perfect getaway and are cruising through Italy, than Lake Como will become your new favorite weekend getaway.
